Tangled Up in Blue è un brano molto complesso dal punto di vista del racconto, sicuramente strutturato sul time-shift caro ai romanzieri dall'Ottocento in poi. Per chi vuole approfondire, consiglio la lettura del capitolo dedicato a questa canzone all'interno del libro Jokerman di Aidan Day. Ho tradotto e cantato questo brano, rispettando rime e strofe, ne è venuta fuori una storia che mi piacerebbe districare, definire meglio, darne un ordine cronologico, con quel profondo blu che ne costituisce lo sfondo. Oggi, che è il 79esimo compleanno del signor Bob, ho deciso di metterla in comune. It's a complex, maybe complicated story, which I would like to be untangled and better defined, with a chronological order out of the blue which is the real background of the events narrated.
